Parents coordinate all-school fund raisers, which help raise money
and also build community. All proceeds go to the operating fund. Students and teachers also organize additional fund raisers for
particular causes.
If you wish to be added to the AACS mailing list to know about
future fund raisers, please email us.
Fund Raising Opportunities:
- SCRIP
– Store certificates are ordered and distributed through the school via
the National SCRIP Center. Proceeds are shared between the general fund
and family tuition accounts.
- Apple Pie Sale
– Parents and school supporters peel apples and assemble hundreds of
Dutch apple pies during this fundraiser. Preordered pies are distributed in mid-October.
- Poinsettia Sale – Orders are taken for these lovely holiday plants mid-October, and are distributed in early Advent.
- Pancake Breakfast
– At this major fundraiser of the year, AACS parents serve up a delicious breakfast for families, alumni, and AACS
supporters. Donations help defray the costs of purchasing a major item, like a score board for the gym (2005) a mobile computer lab (2006), new basketball hoops for the playground (2007), or four supporting special projects such as the for L.I.F.E. giving campaign (2008). Bake sale
items round out a crisp Saturday morning in November, which always follows Grandparents’ Day.
- Auction - The Annual March AACS Auction is an opportunity to get to know other school families, bid on items like vacations and such, while raising funds for the school. The 2010 Auction raised over $17,000 for AACS.
- Flower Sale – Hanging baskets and flats are pre-ordered in April and
distributed in early May in time for Mother’s Day.
