Giving Opportunities

We ask that you join other generous people who are investing in students’ lives. Your financial gifts and prayer support will help us continue to provide Christ-centered education in Ann Arbor. We are a 501(c)(3) organization, so your contribution is tax deductible. Donations can be pledges of financial support over time, gifts, donations of stock or property, annuities, or gifts in kind.
  • Reduce our debt. We hope to dramatically reduce the principal on the remaining portion of our facility loan before the next rate adjustment in 2009. Currently, we owe $850,000 on the loan. If we pay off $250,000 of the loan by January 2009, we could save $20,000 per year in interest. That’s the annual tuition bill for about four students or our electricity bill for 12 months! This fall, we received pledges of $55,000 to pay down the debt.
  • Close the gap. Tuition does not cover the cost of educating each student. This year the gap is $1,000 per student, or $145,000. Your donation could help to close this gap and ensure that we continue to offer an innovative curriculum that integrates faith and learning.
  • Tuition assistance program. This program is designed to help qualifying families in financial need.
  • Scholarship fund. For those in even greater need, we offer full scholarships through Shelly's Hope Scholarship Fund.
  • Save for the future. Our facility was built in 2003, but we are saving now for when items like asphalt and the roof need to be replaced.

Hope and a Future

We believe God has a plan for our school. We saw that in the way God enabled us to raise $3 million – 75 percent of the funds needed – to pay for our building's construction in 2003. With God’s guidance and the commitment of  faithful supporters, we have established this school as a strong, prospering presence in the community. We daily see examples of Christ building a spiritual foundation within the students so they learn to use their gifts to serve Him and others.

Our funding base

Maintaining Ann Arbor Christian’s high academic standards and ensuring future growth requires funding above what we collect through tuition. We ran a capital campaign to raise money for our new school from 2001 through 2005, and many contributors helped make our facility a reality. Through this campaign we developed a diverse funding base that includes school families, church members, individual churches, businesses, alumni families, and charitable foundations. These donations allow us to decrease the school's debt, support school programs, offer scholarships, and provide tuition assistance.
